A few years ago I went to get milk tea with one of my guy friends, who is annoyingly chivalrous and kept refusing to let me pay for my own drink to the point of shoving me out of the way as I was pulling money out of my wallet. As I shoved back he said, “You can’t do anything! You’re short!”
The cashier, who was about my height, shot him a glare so intense I felt like the whole room went quiet, then slowly pushed his money off the counter and took mine instead.
